My World of Art
...AND THE LIN-AY
GOES TO ILOILO...
The Lin-ay, all 18 feet and 1.7 tons of her, was transported to Iloilo via Trans-Asia Shipping on July 6, 2011. She was accompanied by Art Foundry owner Karl Herbich, manager/owner Franz Herbich, and Franz better-half, Yasi Herbich. She was first loaded by Karl on his six-wheeler cargo truck and then deposited in the cargo section of a Trans-Asia Ship.

(An interesting note: After the Lin-ay was delivered to Iloilo, about two weeks after, the boat which carried her sank completely in the sea between Iloilo and Cebu. We were shocked but thankful that the boat sank after the Lin-ay was delivered. If it happened during the delivery we would not have salvaged the Lin-ay at all as she was loaded first and in the deepest section of the cargo section. Several other trucks and equipment were loaded after her. Looking, I merely say to myself the Lin-ay was really meant to stand on top of the new Iloilo City Hall...).

What a lot of people didnt know was that the Lin-ay actually waited for almost two months before she was finally installed at the dome of the City Hall. She had to wait since the City Hall, and the dome which was especially renovated for her, were not yet finished. A lot of people were inquiring about her but to prevent people from being curious, we actually kept mum about the fact that she was actually already in Iloilo and sleeping at the Molo stockyard of the Iloilo City Engineering Office. Only the Engineers who put her there, the Herbichs,  and us were the only ones who knew about this.
