My World of Art
Ang Lin-ay Sang Iloilo
Soon after the Honorable Mayor, Jed Patrick Mabilog, handed me the commission of an 18-foot statue to be put on top of the dome of the new City Hall, I started working on the study which I would present to the Mayor for approval. I was assisted by my long-time apprentice, now an established sculptor in his own right, Harry Mark Gonzales. The study was made of resin, that is why it had to go through the process of modelling, molding and casting, the same process done for bronze sculptures.

The Little Lin-ay
Me and my Little Lin-ay...
This is where the Little Lin-ay formerly stayed--the Iloilo City Gallery, right in the first floor of the New City Hall, but the gallery has been converted into an office. Of course the actual Lin-ay now stands on the dome of this building. L-R: Pierre Patricio, Ed, Harry Mark Gonzales.
