WOOD SCULPTURES
Gallery 1
The works presented here are selected works in wood which I did starting
in the 1990s.  A good part of these were exhibited in two one-man sculpture
exhibitions: one, in 1992, in a show called Tapalan mounted at the Museo Iloilo in Iloilo City, and the other, in 1998, called Dance in Wood and Nails mounted at the Cultural Center of the Philippines in Metro Manila in conjunction with an
International Dance Festival.

A good part of the works focus on the subject of dance, a result, most possibly, of my involvement in the performing arts as Artistic Director of the University of the Philippines in the Visayas Teatro Amakan, and librettist/director of several dance-dramas two of which became official Philippine representatives to two International Art Festivals.

Several of the works were also reviewed by a leading Philippine art critic and published in a national daily (Please see Reviews).
